A fast, simple PDF reader and toolkit that works without internet. Merge, split, compress, convert and protect your files — all on your own computer. No account. No ads. Nothing uploaded. Ever.
Most PDF apps are bloated, slow, or hold your documents hostage behind a subscription. This one opens instantly and gets out of your way.
No loading screens, no waiting. Your document appears the moment you open it — whether it has 3 pages or 800.
Every document reopens on the exact page you left it. Your bookmarks and favourites are always there when you come back.
Night mode dims bright pages for dark rooms. Zoom in and out easily, and slide through long documents in one movement.
No caps, no "upgrade to handle bigger files", no waiting in a queue. A huge scanned document is just another file.
Turn pages, zoom, bookmark and switch to night mode without touching the mouse. Every action has a shortcut.
No account, no tracking, no data sent anywhere. Turn off your internet and every single feature still works.
The things other apps charge a monthly subscription for. All of it runs on your own processor, so nothing is ever queued, capped, or uploaded.
Combine any number of PDFs. Reorder them first — the list is the output order.
Every page as its own file, a page range, or hand-pick exactly the pages you want.
Choose how much to shrink and see the new size before you start. Scans often get 80% smaller.
Turn photos or scans into a single document. Choose A4, Letter, or match the image.
Save each page as a picture, in screen quality or print quality.
Lock a document with a password so only the right people can open it.
Remove a password you know from a protected file. The original is left untouched.
No trial, no watermark, no page limit, no "pro" tier. Everything above is included.
Most online PDF tools ask you to upload contracts, bank statements and ID scans to a stranger's server. This one never asks — because it never can.
A fair look at where a local, free desktop app wins — and where it doesn't.

If you need to rewrite the words inside a PDF or work on the same file with a team, a paid suite is the better tool. For reading, organising, converting and protecting your documents privately — this is faster, and it's free.
One file, one install, and it's yours. No trial timer, no upsell screen, no card details.
Prefer not to install? Get the portable version — it runs straight from a folder or USB stick.
Mac and Linux versions are on the way.
Because Ayaanzo PDF Pro is brand new, Windows shows “Windows protected your PC” the first time you run it. This is not a virus warning — Windows simply hasn't seen the app enough times yet. Click More info, then Run anyway, and it will install normally. This message disappears as more people download it.
The same reader and the same tools, built for your phone — with the same promise that your documents stay on your own device. We're putting the finishing touches on it now.
It's genuinely free, with no trial period, no watermarks, no locked tools and no ads. Ayaanzo Technologies builds mobile and desktop apps — this one exists to be useful and to introduce people to our other work. There's a small, dismissible card at the bottom of the library that occasionally mentions another Ayaanzo app. That's the entire business model, and you can switch it off in Settings.
No. Everything — reading, merging, splitting, compressing, converting, protecting — happens on your own computer. There is no server involved, which is also why there are no file size limits or daily limits. Turn off your internet completely and every feature still works.
When you open a PDF, the app keeps its own copy in a private folder on your computer, so your recent files still work even if you move or delete the original. Anything the tools create is saved in the same place. You can open or clear that folder any time from Settings, and everything is removed if you uninstall the app.
There's a “Check for updates” button in Settings. Press it and the app tells you whether a newer version is available. It never checks on its own unless you ask it to. When there's an update, you download it from this page and install it — your documents, bookmarks and settings all stay exactly as they were.
Not yet. Right now it can rearrange, convert, compress and protect your PDFs, but not rewrite the words on a page. Searching inside documents and highlighting are the next features we're adding.
Yes — it uses the same strength of protection banks use for their own document archives. The locking happens on your computer and the password is never sent or stored anywhere. One important warning: there is no way to recover a lost password. If it's forgotten, the file cannot be opened by anyone, including us.
Windows 10 and Windows 11. Versions for Mac and Linux are being prepared and will appear on this page when they're ready.
An Android version is almost finished and will launch on Google Play shortly. It will have the same reader and the same tools, and the same promise that nothing leaves your device.
Free forever, no account, and nothing you open ever leaves your computer.
